Worm Grunting 01 mw 040903.jpg
Worm grunter Gary Revell plys his trade in the Apalachicola National Forest as dawn breaks this morning. Revell and his wife Audrey grunt worms for their livelyhood in western Wakulla County by driving a wooden stake in the ground and forcing a steel rod back and forth across it producing a sound like a long low grunt and sending vibrations through the ground that drive earthworms to the surface where they are collected.
